Available in a variety of designs and finishes, Nelson Architectural Metals Division manufactures Column Covers and beam wraps providing an attractive yet cost-effective approach to visually enhancing structural beams including bare support steel structures, concrete columns and wood beams. The inherent durability and simple beauty of metal make it an ideal candidate for such enclosures.
Nelson’s unique fabricating capabilities lend themselves to manufacturing non-standard shapes and sizes which are often not readily available from other manufacturers. As a result, our architectural metal Column Covers and column wraps have been the number one choice among many prestigious commercial, institutional and transportation facilities across North America.
NelsonAMD's decorative metal column wraps conceal structural elements for the design and construction industry. Beautiful, Decorative, metal column surrounds ensure Nelson is your best choice for column covers.
Commercial Column Covers and architectural metal column wraps are available in a variety of metal alloys best suited for the intended application and typically range from .064 up to .125 inches in thickness. The most common cover and wrap alloys are 3003-H14 for aluminum and T-304 or T-316 for stainless steel column covers. For optimal results, enclosures intended for anodizing plain (Mill) or brushed finishes generally require the use of a 5005-H34 alloy. In addition to the aforementioned options, baked powder enamel, and two and three-coat fluoropolymer type paints are commonly used to enhance the appearance of our enclosures. Nelson also offers a wide range of linear, non-directional and selective brushed finishes, particularly in stainless steel, as well as faux wood options like our exclusive Ourborite™ finish.
